Why Wah #5

(contd from 'Why Wah #4')

Guess when #4 got over? 6pm! Ridiculous isn't it? What was worse was that the next one was the real danger - a subject belonging to a department known to flunk people from other departments in their department's subject's vivas. To top it off, it started off right on time, was divided into two days with us, the 2nd half, going first, and the internal was the same person who took the subject in class. Recipe for disaster no?

The scary acting HoD came in as the internal but that was only for people who were willfully appearing in the exams all over again just to improve their marks (there are people like that, seriously). Otherwise, it was all subject teacher Ms. Procedure (that btw is not a nick) and her friend, the external who took their time with each bunch - at first it was a pair, and it stayed that way till lunch.

Post-lunch, things gave a sign of being speeded up. Three people were called in. But that was that. No one came out for one whole hour. And from the looks of things (we are expert peekers), people were being told to solve numericals on paper! Once one of those three came out, it was all chaos - no one knew how many was going in or who was next. I was in mortal fear at the thought of having to go in with P2. Lady luck smiled on me for the umpteenth time during the vivas - I got to go in with P3 and P4.

And then the most inexplicable thing happened - I answered all the questions, a first for me since 10th standard. Don't ask how - I'm still being abused for the same by my classmates. Ah well, that's life.

(to be contd)
